With your account created and activated (visit our previous article here if you haven't already), you must now finish the configuration:
1) Add a Redirect URI
- Log into your Stripe account if you're not already logged in
- Click the gear settings icon in the top right of the screen, and select the Settings option
- Select Connect under the Product settings section
- Access the Onboarding options
- Go to the OAuth tab, click the + Add URI button and enter the following URI: https://yoursitedomain.com/UserDashboard/Test (substitute "yoursitedomain" by the domain for your site accordingly)
- Make sure you that this Redirect URI is set as the DEFAULT
- Make sure "OAuth for Standard accounts" is toggled ON (purple means toggled on!)
- Take note of the Live mode client ID
2) Add the Client ID in Admin Panel > Settings > Your Company Info > Payment Info
- In the same Settings section of your Stripe Account, you'll see your Client ID - make sure it is the Live Mode Client ID, not Test Mode
- Copy and paste the Live mode client ID (from the previous step) in your marketplace site in the Admin panel > Settings > Payment Info section under Stripe Connect Client Id
- Make sure there are no extra spaces after you copy/paste!
3) Add Credentials in Admin Panel > Settings > Your Company Info > Payment Info
- From your Stripe Account, click on Developers on the top right of the screen

- Copy and paste your Publishable Key in the in the Settings >Payment Info section of your Marketplace Admin under the Publishable API Key field
- Click to reveal your Secret Key and copy and paste it under the Secret API Key field
- Remember to click Save
- Make sure there are no extra spaces after you copy/paste!
4) Enter the percentage that you as the marketplace owner keeps from every transaction under "Stripe Connect Service Fee Percentage".
- From your admin panel, go to Settings > Company Info
- Enter the percentage in the field titled Commission (%)
- Just enter the number; do not include the % sign
- Click Save
Now that Stripe Connect is enabled, if you had added test listings, you'll notice that they are no longer visible in the Browse page. That's because each seller will need to connect to your Stripe Platform account before their listings are visible on the marketplace - they can't sell until their funding (Stripe Connect) is connected and set up.
If you plan on selling and/or buying on your marketplace, make sure to create a separate user that is different from your admin user. You will not be able to sell or buy under your admin user! The bank account linked to your seller should be different from the one that is linked to the marketplace Stripe Connect account.
